Governor DeWine announced today that Bucyrus and Galion were awarded a combined $1.9 million for water and sewer projects through the Ohio BUILDS program. Bucyrus won $1.3 million for a waterline project that extends water to Sulphur Springs and SR 602 in rural Crawford County, and Galion won $600,000 for a lift station and backup generator wastewater treatment project that will benefit the entire city of Galion. On July 21, 2023, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced the fifth round of water infrastructure grant funding awarded through Ohio BUILDS. Short summaries of each grant can be found below.
