Crawford Business Exchange

The Crawford Business Exchange (CBX) is a free service in Crawford County that connects investors and entrepreneurs with local business opportunities, including buying existing businesses, starting franchises, and new ventures. It tries to address the problem of businesses closing when owners retire and the difficulty in finding funding and management for new projects. It is hosted by the Crawford Partnership, a nonprofit economic, community, and workforce development agency serving Bucyrus, Galion, Crestline, New Washington, and all of Crawford County, Ohio.

To engage with business opportunities through CBX, follow these steps:

  1. First, look at the open leads and decide if you’re interested.
  2. If so, contact David Zak at or call 419.912.1150 for pre-qualification.
  3. Next, the Partnership will share your contact details with the business owner if you’re pre-qualified, and then they step out of the process.
  4. The business owner will then reach out to the parties they’re interested in.
  5. Both sides will then check each other’s backgrounds and details (due diligence) to progress towards a deal.
  6. Finally, the process concludes with either a deal being made or the lead closing.

If you want to receive email updates about new opportunities or the status of current leads, you should contact David Zak. This service also is free of charge.
