Seeks Local Proposals for Potential Event Venue Developer/Operator
GALION–Approximately 10,000 sf with former sanctuary (250 seats), fellowship hall with kitchen, and classroom building. Ideal for re-development as multi-use event venue.
The congregation of Peace Lutheran Church after 174 years transferred ownership of the property to the Galion Port Authority with the hope of seeing the property redeveloped and preserved as an asset for the community.
The Galion Port Authority was created by the City of Galion. The Galion Port Authority’s role is to promote economic development using the tools of the Ohio Revised Code to enhance, foster, aid, provide or promote, transportation, economic development, housing, recreation, governmental operations, culture or research. Port Authorities can buy, sell or hold real estate and provide financing tools for economic development. The Galion Port Authority was created by the City of Galion. The Port continues to promote housing development at the Renschville School site with anticipated construction to start on the second and third lot shortly.
