Second annual CU Impact event connects leadership network with 25 local nonprofits

BUCYRUS, OHIO – Wednesday, December 18 – On Friday, December 13, Crawford Unlimited Leadership (CU Lead), a nine-month long leadership program led by the Crawford Partnership, held its second annual CU Impact event with an estimated 115 attending at St. Joseph’s Convocation Center in Crestline. The event celebrated the accomplishments of this year’s 23 graduates and connected them to community leadership, service, and support opportunities with 25 Crawford County nonprofits, organizations, and service clubs.

Stephanie Buchanan, a CU Lead alum, and member of the CU Lead Oversight Committee was pleased with the event. She commented, “My perspective of CU Lead and CU Impact is threefold: as an alum, an employer, and a member of the Oversight Committee. Witnessing the growth of the leadership graduation event, CU Impact, year after year is great to be a part of and support.”

For more than a decade, Crawford Unlimited Leadership, more commonly known as CU Lead, has been providing an immersive experience that exposes those who work and live in Crawford County to the many unique places, organizations, businesses, and opportunities that exist throughout the county. In addition, the program offers a platform for leaders to gain insights from experts in leadership. The program’s goal is to enhance Crawford County by building a network of passionate leaders dedicated to supporting local communities while developing their own leadership skills. This includes active engagement such as serving on boards, volunteering, and supporting organizations that rely on leaders to fulfill their missions. After concluding its thirteenth cohort, the program boasts nearly 245 alumni.
