As part of our ongoing commitment to stability and progress, we are pleased to share an update on leadership at the Crawford Partnership. We are fortunate to have Greg Timberlake, Psy.D., serving as Interim Executive Director. Greg joined the Partnership in February and worked alongside Sarah Herrle before her departure for a position closer to home.
Greg brings over 30 years of leadership experience in higher education and nonprofit consulting. He served as Dean at North Central State College’s Kehoe Center in Shelby for over a decade, where he was instrumental in program development, workforce alignment, and industry partnerships. Since his retirement from NCSC in 2021, Greg has worked as a consultant with nonprofits across the region, offering strategic planning and leadership support. His academic background includes a doctorate in organizational psychology, with a focus on leadership development, systems thinking, and organizational culture.
As Interim Executive Director, Greg’s role includes:
- Supporting the team in advancing the Partnership’s mission, goals and active projects.
- Working with the Board of Directors to recruit a permanent Executive Director.
- Engaging with local stakeholders and maintaining transparent communication.
- Leading the organization with integrity and collaboration.
Greg and his wife Julie, a physical therapist at Avita Health in Bucyrus, reside in Richland County. They have one daughter who is graduating from the University of Cincinnati this spring. Greg is a former member of the Shelby Community Improvement Corporation and currently serves as a supervisor with Richland County Soil and Water Conservation District.
During this transition period, the Partnership continues to focus on key priorities:
- Wrapping up a Community Building Block Grant;
- Launching an EPA Brownfield Grant with strong economic potential.
- Responding to requests for property and expansion opportunities.
- Supporting workforce initiatives connecting schools and employers.
We have retained Spherion Staffing & Recruiting (Mansfield) to lead the Executive Director search. Their experience includes successfully supporting the recent CEO transition at Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development.
Greg extends his thanks to our staff, board, local officials, and community partners for their continued support and collaboration. Further updates will be provided as we move forward.
